Abstract
The project “Smooth Transition from Academia to a Carrier in AgroBiotechnology: Designing Carrier Plan” – AGROBIOTECH+ - 2023-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000160349 is a project co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme for education, training, youth and sport. The AGROBIOTECH+ project is established among 6 experienced European partners from Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Cech Republic and Poland. The aim of this project is to provide students attending studies in agrobiotechnology domain with knowledge and skills to facilitate their debut in professional life, and to prepare them for career development. The agrobiotechnology field is of great importance in today's European economy. It offers various opportunities, and the requirements of companies in the economic environment differ depending on their specific activity, the innovations required by their development. The same dynamic can be seen in accessing a job in this field, or in career development. The AGROBIOTECH+ project objectives focus on helping students acquiring skills and competencies in self-assessment, job search and preparation for a job interview, finding effective ways of professional development and career advancement. We hope that AGROBIOTECH+ project will help students to make a smooth transition from academia to the agrobiotechnology industry and to decrease the unemployment of European higher education graduates.
