Abstract
Education for all is closely linked to working for equal rights for people with disabilities and against their social exclusion, being the most effective tool to develop the necessary skills for this group of children with special needs, aged between 11 and 18. years. The main objective of the project is to offer these children a better understanding of the environment in which they
live, as they live on a small island in the Azores archipelago, and to help them ensure a role, active and responsible participation in the society in which they live. that are inserted. In this way, and continuing the European Year of Wellbeing at school, from a perspective of collaboration and cooperation, the idea will be for students to create, through STEM, a small
cinematographic and audiovisual work with the different traditions that the island offers, involving parents , school, municipality, government, companies and local television, as an instrument for expressing cultural diversity, affirming national identity and promoting STEM.
The aim is to create creative and scientific talents, promoting the connection between society and these children using cutting-edge technologies as an integrated solution that is adaptable, flexible and profitable, designed to help these children observe, discover, prove, verify and measure the results of different experiments and simulations, based on real -life situations. A
virtual laboratory will be created with the help of a local/municipality television so that they can carry out experiments, video clips, animations, thus stimulating their natural curiosity and involving them in a pleasant learning experience, providing guidance and permanent feedback.
With this, the aim is to awaken and value cinema as an art within the educational community and to be a path to work and entrepreneurship on the island, for these children, through STEM.
