Jana Pfefferle is currently writing her master’s thesis in the Department of Chemical Education at the Georg-August-University Göttingen. Her thesis is on the development and implementation of bilingual chemistry classes based on a model which combines the teaching of competences with social interactions in a context.
She received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (major) and Chemistry (minor) from the University of Toronto in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Spanish from the University of Göttingen in 2013. Furthermore, she has a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge (2011). At the moment she is finishing her Master of Education in Chemistry and Spanish in Göttingen and teaching English at the intermediate level at the university’s Center for Languages and Key Qualifications.
