Mª del Mar Arroyo Jimenez was graduated in Biology –University Complutense of Madrid- in 1986-, she received a Ph.D. Degree in Neuroscience from University of Miguel Hernández of Elche (Alicante, Spain) in 2000. She was Research Scientist in the Institute Cajal, CSIC, Madrid (Spain) from 1993 to 1995 and at the Institute Pasteur at Paris, France from 1995 to 1998. Actually she is Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in University of Castilla-La Mancha (Albacete, Spain) and she lead the research group Cellular Biology and Molecular Chemistry of the Central Nervous System. The main area of research is the study of normal and pathological aging processes of the brain, from morphological, analytical and technological points of view.
Since 1999 she is professor of Human Anatomy and Embryology in the University of Castilla-La Mancha where she good a International Master Degree in Medical Pedagogy (2006)
