Patricia Morales Bueno is Principal Professor at Department of Science of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú PUCP. She has been Director of the Chemistry Master Degree Program (2011-2021). She is Coordinator of the research group “Grupo de Investigación y Desarrollo de Estrategias para la Enseñanza de la Química (GIDEEQ)” at PUCP. Patricia received her Ph.D. degree in Sciences of Education in 2008 from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (1983) and her Master’ degree in Organic Chemistry (1992) from PUCP.

Patricia’s research interest includes pedagogic innovation in higher education and development of cognitive skills and higher-order thinking. Her work has been presented at various international academic contexts. Likewise, publications in journals such as The Chemical Educator (USA), Educación y Educadores (Colombia), Anuario Latinoamericano de Educación Química (Argentina), Revista Theoria (Chile), Revista Docencia Universitaria REDU (Spain), Journal of Technology and Science Education JOTSE (Spain), among others, as well as chapters of books in international publications, have been recognized by national and international context.
Patricia worked in the project “Problem Based Learning (PBL) in Peruvian Higher Education” in cooperation with the University of Delaware from 2002-2004. She was in charge of developing and accessing PBL workshops offered to the faculty of universities of Peru and Latin America. Her experience in this matter has been reported in numerous international events in Cuba, Mexico, Chile, USA and Peru.

Patricia is a member in the research group Pensamiento Crítico y Psicología Positiva, University of Salamanca (Spain). She has conducted several studies in relation to the achievements assessment in thinking skills teaching. Her works have been communicated in different international events and international journals.
