Jeslyn is a research staff with the Natural Sciences and Science Education Academic Group NIE in Singapore. She read Chemistry and Biological Chemistry for her bachelor degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore. Since then, for the last 2.5 years, she has been working in the field of Education research.
Jeslyn is interested in how language, disciplinary literacy skills and multiple representations modes can come together to improve science learning. She is currently involved in the research projects titled “Developing Disciplinary Pedagogy in the Sciences” and “Formalizing disciplinary literacy teaching in primary science through a writing-to-learn approach”.
