Suzanne Kapelari is Assistant Professor in Science Education and Head of the Science and Mathematics Education Department at the School of Education as well as the Scientific Coordinator of the Plant Science Education Center at the Botanic Gardens, at the University of Innsbruck Austria.
She was and is coordinator of European Projects funded by the 6th (www.plantscafe.net) and 7th Framework, Science and Society (www.inquirebotany.org).
Suzanne Kapelari holds a PhD (University Innsbruck, Austria, Biology) and a MA (City College of the City University, New York, USA, Master of Arts in Education) and a teachers degree in Biology and Environmental Education (University Innsbruck, Austria )
She has taught Biology and Environmental Education at high schools for 5 years and is currently lecturing at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
Suzanne holds a full time assistant professor position at Innsbruck University, Austria. In 2013 she worked as visiting researcher at Kings College London, UK for 4 month.
She is editor of the book: Plants Scientists Investigate at School and at the Botanic Garden which was published in course of the EU PLASCIGARDEN Project.
