Sébastien Malpel is a lecturer in general biology and neurosciences of the University of Burgundy.
After a PhD at Paris 7-University, Denis Diderot, in 2002, in the field of developmental biology, he trained several years at Paris and near Paris and finally got a lecturer permanent position at Dijon (Burgundy) in 2007.
Until last year, he was studying neurosciences, in the “Centre des Sciences du Goût et de l’Alimentation (CSGA)” of Dijon, but he decided to change his research field to concentrate on scientific communication and scientific education.
So he joined the Cimeos laboratory of the University of Burgundy (directed by Pr. Eric Heilmann), and started to work with Dr. Emmanuella Di Scala.
He has a strong background in animal biology, genetics and neurosciences and he’s a novice in sciences of education and communication but can compensate with a more than 10 years teaching experience.
He also recently took part in teachers formation in neurosciences.
