Eduardo Montero received the M.S. degree in industrial engineering, specialised in energy engineering, from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 1984 and the Ph.D. degree in energy engineering from the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 1996.
He has been employed in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Burgos, Spain, since 1984, holding the position of Assistant Professor since 1988. At the University of Burgos he has hold the positions of Vice-Dean of External Relations at the Higher Polytechnic School (1989-1994), Vice-Rector of Economics and Planning (1994-1997) and Head of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering (2004-2012).
His academic expertise includes engineering thermodynamics, heat transfer and energy technology. His current research interests are experimental determination of thermodynamic properties of fluid mixtures, energy efficiency systems in buildings.
He is also Director of the innovation & teaching group named “Active Learning and e-learning in Engineering” at the University of Burgos. Within this group, some contributions on e-learning, active learning and engineering education research projects have been developed. He is also member of the International Steering Committee of the International Network for Engineering Education and Research.
