Atsushi Ishihara is a professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Saitama Institute of Technology in Japan. He holds a B.S. from the University of Osaka Prefecture, a M.S. from Keio University, and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He had been studying a solid propellant combustion and rocket propulsion system as a research engineer in Japan Defence Agency between 1981 and 1992.
From 1992, he started working as a faculty of Saitama Institute of Technology.
He teaches Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Introduction to Robotics, Robot Producing Method and Training in the school. He develops an educational materials for young students and demonstrates in a junior and senior high school to encourage young students.
