Hyo-kwan Dong is an expert in the science instruction and evaluation achievement of students. He is interested in educational evaluation, and science instruction, and what kind of thinking ability is needed in learning science.
For many years , he has been working in developing items for evaluation of scholastic aptitude test in Korea and he has been studying in students' achievement. He has experience in training teachers for curriculum and evaluation.
