Anne O' Dwyer

Anne O’ Dwyer is working as a post-doctoral researcher and Science project officer in the National Centre for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and Learning (NCE-MSTL).

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Chemistry from the University of Limerick in 2009. She was awarded a PhD scholarship from the Irish Research Council for Science Engineering and Technology.

Her PhD involved the identification of the difficulties in teaching and learning of Introductory Organic Chemistry in Ireland as well as the development of a Second-Level intervention programme to address these difficulties. She completed her PhD in 2012.

Since 2012, Anne has been working as a Science Project Officer in the NCE-MSTL. The aim of NCE-MSTL is to research, support, develop and implement programmes to enhance Irish Science and Mathematics teaching and learning at all levels. Anne is currently working on two FP7 funded Science Education projects: Teaching Enquiry with Mysteries Incorporated (TEMI) and Chain Reaction.
