Natalia D. Spyropoulou is a member of the Educational Content, Methodology, and Technology Laboratory (e-CoMeT Lab) of the Hellenic Open University in Greece, where she is involved in research projects regarding the application of advanced technologies in the development of innovative teaching material and instrumentation for distance learning. Her research interests include Educational Technology, Open Education, Massive Open Online Courses, Distance Education, 3D Virtual Worlds in Education, Instructional Design. She holds a BSc in Digital Systems and an MSc in Technology Education and Digital Systems (Track: e-Learning) of the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus, Greece. From 2011 until today she has worked in several European and National Research and Development Projects regarding distance learning and educational technologies in collaboration with institutions such as the University of Piraeus, the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and the Hellenic Open University (HOU). She is a member of the Hellenic Association of ICT in Education and she has published several papers in national and international journals and conferences.
