Dr. Manuela Aguzzi has a PhD in Industrial Design and Multimedia Communication, and more than 15 years experience in space systems, operations and payload training, and support to on-orbit operations. From 2007 to 2017, she has been supporting ESA’s Directorate of Human Space Flight and Exploration as a certified astronaut and ground personnel instructor. In this role she has been responsible for designing, developing and implementation several hundreds of hours of training. In particular she has been preparing and delivering lessons on the ESA scientific experiments performed on the International Space Station including many ESA Educational Experiments. As science payload instructor, she has also taught Master students in space medicine at EAC. Ms Aguzzi has been an editor at “L’Astronomia”, a Journal of Science and Culture focused on Astronomy, and she has organized workshops and seminar for ESA/ESTEC and for the Politecnico di Milano. Ms. Aguzzi is also the author of children’s illustrated book about science on ISS and participated to workshops and presentations for kids in primary schools in Italy, Austria and Germany.
