Ali Daryusi is professor for machine elements/CAD/FEM at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
After studying mechanical engineering at the University Tischreen in Syria and at the Gerhard-Mercator-University Duisburg with a Dipl.-Ing. degree in design engineering, Ali Daryusi received his doctorate in 2008 with the topic "Determination of the notch effect on toothed shafts with free and bound outlet" after several years of scientific work at the Institute for Machine Elements and Machine Design (IMM) of the Technical University Dresden.
He was employed in industry as a calculation and development engineer at the company "Siemens AG - Winergy AG".
On 1 March 2010 he became Professor of Design / Machine Elements and CAD at the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Offenburg. Ali Daryusi has been in charge of the CAD/CAE laboratories with 120 workstations since 2010 and teaches CAD design, technical drawing, CAE / FEM and machine elements.
The research focus of the professorship, headed by Ali Daryusi, includes
- FEM calculation of penetration and multiple notches, their relief and optimization.
- Profile shaft connections (toothed, splined and serrated shaft connections).
- Eye tracking technology in design theory.
