Marina Constantinou is a PhD candidate at University of Lincoln, United Kingdom doing research in science practical work in tertiary education.

Marina graduated in Biological Sciences at Royal Holloway University of London,UK and obtained an MSc degree in Cellular Pathology at University of Westminster, UK. After that she pursued an MA in Science Education at University of Leeds, UK and has obtained a scholarship proceeding with a PhD in the field of science education at University of Lincoln,UK currently being in her second year of studies whilst also working as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant.

She has laboratory experience working as a research assistant and a postgraduate researcher and has been tutoring biology high school students. She has also worked as a data analyst assistant and has been tutoring statistical analysis to science undergraduates.

Marina is interested in exploring the value of science practical work, in terms of effectiveness and affective value, in tertiary education focusing on Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The aim of her research study is to shed light on current practical practices in the teaching of sciences so as to benefit undergraduate students and future scientists in utilising the best knowledge resources so as to further their knowledge in the field.
