Nuno Fragata is a teacher at ESAD.CR since 2008.
Nuno teaches curricular units related to Design, to Illustration and to Printing Media. He holds a PhD in Art Studies from the University of Aveiro (2014), a master in Fine Arts (2012), a degree in Fine Arts (2007) and a degree in Graphic Design (2001) from Instituto Politécnico de Leiria.
Nuno is an integrated member of the Laboratory of Investigation in Design and Arts (LIDA) and collaborates with Inclusion and Accessibility in Action Observatory (iACT-CICS.NOVA). He is a Member of the Organizational and Scientific Committees of the International Conference for Inclusion - INCLUDiT, and of the International Conference Cinema - Art, Technology, Communication - AVANCA|CINEMA. In 2015 he was the Proponent professor and current coordinator of the course in Illustration and Graphic Production, and previously coordinated the course of Graphic Illustration. He develops work with students of the Master in Accessible Communication in the creation of expressive tactile image using engraving, screen printing and 3d printing techniques. He also develops authoral work in Comics, Illustration, Fine Arts and Graphic Design.
Currently Nuno participates in the investigation project ProLearn4ALL, Pedagogical Tools for ALL, co-financed by FEDER, a project in educational settings that aims to increase knowledge and awareness about disability in primary school children, to promote inclusion.
He is also currently working in Cinema animation in a project funded by ICA - Institute of Cinema and Audiovisuals). He also participates in the investigation project TeenPower - e-empower teenagers to prevent obesity, and in the investigation project Help2Care - Help to care for dependent person and caregivers.
