Tereza Trencheva

Tereza Trencheva is a Professor at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). She is a Vice Rector of Research and International Affairs of ULSIT and Deputy Chair of the University Youth Knowledge Academy (UNYKA) and a member of the UNESCO Interfaculty Chair ‘ICT in Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage’.
She has graduated in Library and Information Sciences (B.A.), English Philology (M.A.) and she has been studying Law (M.A.). Prof. Trencheva has obtained her PhD degree in Theory of Scientific Information at SULSIT. Her Dissertation’s theme’s: „Intellectual Property of Information Resources in Internet”. She has been on a specialization at the WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prof. Trencheva is an author of the monographs “Open Access to Scientific Information” (2013); "Integration of Intellectual Property Training at University Information Technologies" (2020) and the textbooks “Intellectual Property in Internet” (2014), "SOcial Networks and Internet" (2017), 12 collections and more than 120 articles.
She has been involved as project planner and coordinator in more than 10 national and international projects. Prof. Trencheva is the founder and the main trainer in the national seminar dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day (26 April) which is organized and coordinated by ULSIT.
Prof. Trencheva is a Member of ISI–USA, Bulgarian Association of IP Teachers, Union of Scientists in Bulgaria. She is a peer reviewer of many international conferences in the field informing science such as InSite, ECIL and e-Society Conferences.
Tereza Trencheva is often invited as a speaker or expert at International Conferences to present her Intellectual Property and Copyright experiences and the European and national projects in which she is involved.
Areas of expertise: intellectual property training, copyright in digital age, industrial property objects, open access, project management, e-learning, language learning.
