Shintaro Tajiri is the assistant to the President for Information and Institutional Research and also a professor of the department of economics and management at Hokuriku University which is located in Kanazawa, Japan .
Shintaro graduated in Policy Management from Keio University in 1994. And he had a master’s degree in governance from the Graduate School of Media and Governance of Keio University in 1996. After that, he was involved in policy evaluation at the private think tanks and the Board of Audit Japan. Since 2005, he had been a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Economics at Kaetsu University. He developed a first-year education program incorporating PBL and active learning. He also served as Director of Academic Affairs.
Since 2014, Shintaro joined Yokohama College of Commerce and became associate professor in 2016. Also, he became a director of Institutional Research in August 2015. Since April 2019, he has been in his current position in Kanazawa.
Shintaro is also a doctoral student of the Department of Social and Human Sciences of the School of Environment and Society at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is working on a doctoral dissertation on student assistant system.
