Jamie Smith is a PhD Student in the School of Education, University of Lincoln. Jamie obtained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the School of Mathematics and Physics, University of Lincoln. He works as a Mathematics and Statistics Advisor and holds Associate Lecturer posts at two universities. His research focuses on mathematics anxiety and is focusing his doctorate on how the teacher-student relationship within secondary schools affects mathematics anxiety and mathematics confidence. He has presented work at the European Conference on Education, and the Continuing Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Mathematics, Statistics, and Operational Research (CETL-MSOR) conference.
