Dr Katerina Paschalidou is a member of academic staff at the Department of Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens -NKUA (Greece).
Katerina graduated in Chemistry –NKUA in 1995 and has conducted graduate studies (M. Sc. and Ph. D.) in the field of Organic Chemistry.
Her undergraduate teaching assignments are mainly involved with the training of both chemistry and biology majors in Organic Chemistry. In addition, she teaches graduate courses (Master’s Degree Level) related with Organic Chemistry topics, especially Green Chemistry Organic synthesis suitable for secondary education, and Educational Research.
Katerina is a member of the laboratory teaching staff at the Department of Chemistry at NKUA since 2001. Her undergraduate teaching assignments are mainly involved with the training of both chemistry and biology majors in Organic Chemistry. In addition, she teaches graduate courses (Master’s Degree Level) related with Organic Chemistry topics, especially Green Chemistry Organic synthesis suitable for secondary education, and research methods.
Her involvement with teaching led her to enter the field of Chemistry Education.
Katerina’s research interests involve the fields of green chemistry and chemistry education and solid phase peptide synthesis. Her published works are in the field of Organic and Green Chemistry as well as Chemistry Education Research.
