Michail Kalogiannakis

Michail Kalogiannakis has graduated from the Physics Department at the University of Crete and continued his post-graduate studies at the University Paris 7-Denis Diderot (D.E.A. in Didactic of Science), University Paris 5-René Descartes-Sorbonne (D.E.A. in Science Education) and received his PhD at the University Paris 5-René Descartes-Sorbonne (PhD in Science Education).

Michail Kalogiannakis is a Lecturer at the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete in Greece. He is also an Associate Tutor at School of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University. He has participated in a number of research projects and has published numerous research articles and studies in journals, books and conference proceedings in English, French and Greek about his field of specialization.

Michail Kalogiannakis has served as an expert of the Greek Pedagogical Institute for the preparation of curricula for natural sciences, in the framework of the action “New School (School of 21st century)” and contributed to the development of teaching material. He has been a member of the scientific board and a reviewer in numerous journals and conferences. He has also acted as Scientific Coordinator in the “Small Size” program, titled: ‘‘Science education at early childhood. Modern tendencies and perspectives: the case of social media’’ funded by the Special Fund for Research Grants (ELKE) of the University of Crete. Michail Kalogiannakis is a member of the Group of Experts of the Creative Little Scientists' FP7 European Project and the SECURE (Science Education CUrriculum Research) FP7 European Project
