Linda Sellou

Linda Sellou graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille in France (2005) and carried on with a PhD at the University of Bristol's School of Chemistry within the Bristol Colloid Centre (2008). Her PhD was sponsored by Ineos Silica Ltd and was based on the study of the structure and abrasive wear of colloidal silica contained in toothpaste. During her postgraduate years, Linda became a Science and Engineering Ambassador (SEA) and got involved in school outreach activities with Bristol ChemLabS. The activities were organised within the UK and also in France, Singapore, South Africa, Malta, Malaysia and Brunei. Linda Sellou was the Bristol ChemLabS Outreach Teaching Fellow from April 2008 to February 2009 and won the University's Engagement Award for this period. In 2009, Linda became lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and received a teaching award in 2010. Since 2012 she has been a lecturer at the National University of Singapore in the Department of Chemistry and in the Special Programme in Science. She is actively involved in Science communication with schools and general public and developing new teaching and learning pedagogies and platforms for undergraduates.
