New Perspectives in Science Education

Yanica Farrugia studied at the University of Malta where she acquired a degree in education in 2012. Since then, she has been teaching at a secondary school in Malta where she teaches Physics as well as Integrated science. Towards the end of the four years of study, as part of her studies, Farrugia conducted a research regarding classroom discourse during Physics lessons in Maltese classrooms. Observing different teachers and also seeing different pedagogies, enabled Farrugia to obtain her own pedagogy in her classrooms to cater for the students’ different needs.
