Mohamed Chabi

Dr. Mohamed Chabi is a Math lecturer and Math academic coordinator at Qatar university Foundation Program. He joined Qatar university in September 2004. Prior to that he was Math lecturer at Northern Lights College & at University of Northern British Columbia in and at University of Manitoba in Canada from 1994 to 2004. Also he was Consultant on Course Development Open Learning Agency, Burnaby, Britich Columbia in Canada.

Dr. Chabi has also been very active in college outreach work-serving as liaison with various community agencies and with the mathematics and science teachers in school district and chaired various committees such as committee of:
• Students Follow up at and students at Risk Foundation Program at QU from 2010 to Present
• E-Learning Committee from 2012 to Present
• Program Curriculum Learning Outcomes from 2012 to Present
• Committee member of Students Advisory Foundation Program
• Committee member of Foundation of Excellence Learning Dimension in 2013

In 2012 Dr. Chabi received his Phd in Science Education with Corllins University and his Master degree in applied math in 1994 and Bachlor of science in pplied Math Honors with Univirsity of Manitoba in 1992.

Dr. Chabi had published more than 15 papers in the field of Mathematics and in field of math education and attended several international conferences where he presented his work. Also he participated on an ongoing basis in seminars and workshops organized by Qatar University, since 2004 to Present

Dr. Chabi has developed several Math courses at Qu and at Northern Light college and his member of :
• Member of IEEE education
• Member of BCCEC (The British Columbia Computing Education) Committee, Canada
• Member of BCCUPM (The British Columbia Committee on the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics), Canada
• Member of NCTM (The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics)
