Belkıs Garip is a research assistant at Middle East Technical University.
She graduated in Physics Education department from Middle East Technical University in 2011. She is a PhD student at the same university now.
Belkıs Garip’s research areas consists of “Special Education-Physics education of visually impaired students, Mental Models and Conceptual Change”
She took part in European Union projects about disability. She was one of the project managers of the EU project “Crossing Assumptions Through Peer Awareness” and she was participant of the project named as “Hands Getting Ready to touch the life.
Belkıs Garip has been a member of “METU Without Barriers” students’ society since 2006. In this society, she has been a coordinator of a project about education of visually impaired high school students since 2007.
