Nicola Broderick is a lecturer in primary science education in the Institute of Education, Dublin City University (DCU), with specific interest and expertise in Initial Teacher Education, Teacher Professional Development, Inquiry-Based Science Education, Education for Sustainable Development, Nature of Science, and Socio-scientific Issues.
She has been involved in a number of European Projects including SUSTAIN and the Fibonacci Project. She is the co-author of a primary science teacher’s resource book “Real Science for Young Scientists”. Nicola is in her second year of her Doctorate of Education (DCU) where she hopes to pursue a research study pertaining primary teachers professional development and socio-scientific issues.
Nicola is a member of the Centre for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and Learning (CASTeL).
