Ana A. Cruz Varandas is a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology - University Nova of Lisbon and a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences -University of Lisbon. She has developed research in the area of Microbial Molecular Biology.
Since then and for more than twenty years, she has been teaching different subjects in the area of Life Sciences and Experimental Sciences in ISEC Lisboa. She was also responsible for supervision of the Initiation Activities to Professional Practice in the Degree in Basic Education and Master Degree in Education and has integrated the Coordination Team of the Degree in Basic Education since 2010.
In parallel, she has been a teacher in the Bachelor Courses in Biology, Veterinary and Biochemistry in Universidade Lusófona – Lisbon, in the areas of Microbiology, Virology and Bacteriology.
