Dora Dragoni is a medical doctor, writer of more than 30 articles in international and Italian journals, and speaker in some Italian events, medical and scientifical meetings.
Dora graduated in medicine and surgery, from the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum in 2009. Since then for 10 years she started and keeps on divulgating medical and health issues, particularly related to reward system.
Talking from a training point of view, she took part in all the medicine and surgery trainings at Sant’Orsola university hospital, in particular spending 6 months in an internal medicine unity helping older doctors and elaborating her own degree thesis. She went on training during her medical state exam in 2012, and also further on. Nowadays she is working as writer for Medicina Integrata journal from Tecniche Nuove Editor.
Starting from these years Dora wondered about health and wellbeing topics: seeing for example that diabetic persons were not merely metabolic affected but also sugar addicted. For these reasons she started getting wider knowledge than that of official degree books, reading and studying more modern texts and articles, like those published open access to divulgate on web. Later on she started publishing and a collection of more than 30 articles took place.
In parallel she attended many courses about wellness issues like for example: nutrition course in Roma to become nutritionist, then two courses to become personal trainer and mental trainer. In this way she went over the only medicine and surgery information but this was extended to closer topics like diet and sport needs.
Reward system was the main basis to which refer since it composes the wellbeing pathways from brain and to body-mind unity, and so she started understanding the correlations between reward pathway and metabolism, and health, and human rights.
Dora in 2013 started her medical specialty in acupuncture, with AMAB, ending this in 2016. She could in this way perceive the relationships between endogenous opioids, activated by acupuncture in natural ways, and reward system, writing a thesis about the neuroscience aspects of acupuncture correlated with salutogenesis. With AMAB she also completed some interesting courses: a master about fertility and acupuncture, some seminars about psychology and TCM, and aesthetics.
In 2015 Dora started her PhD with IBAM ended in 2017 with a thesis about CAM alternative and complementary medicines, reward system and human rights.
It is in these years that Dora writes about the fact that reward system regulates our main needs like: 1 diet 2 fitness 3 mindfulness 4 affective life 5 sleep. These are life needs and human rights too.
Her first collaborations talking from a writer point of view have been with: Neuroscienze.net, SMIPI, MedCrave.
Later on in 2018 she starts her collaboration with Medicina Integrata going on until now, focusing on: reward system, mindfulness, attachment, traditional Chinese medicine, diet, and so on.
In this years Dora starts collaborating with Editors as reviewer: ChemBio Publishers and European Journal of Medical and Health Sciences. She also helps with Conference organizations Secretariats in order to divulgate conferences events.
She is speaker in events like: 2017 Absentee Presenter for Harvard, AIPS Venezia 2018, Meetings International Roma 2019.
Actually she is studying topics related to Art-therapy and the importance of emotions, always related to reward system and health rights.
