New Perspectives in Science Education

Cristina Vilaplana-Prieto is Associate Professor at the Department of Economic Analysis of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Murcia. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Murcia and received a pre-doctoral grant from the Ministry of Science and Education to complete a PhD in Economics at the University Carlos III of Madrid.

She is specialized in Health Economics and Economics of Aging. She has received the Third Prize for Social Research from the CajaMadrid Foundation, together with Prof. Sergi Jiménez-Martín, the first prize from the Economic and Social Council of Castilla y León and the first prize from the National Association of University Programmes for the Elderly.

She has published in Health Economics, Journal of Health Economics, European Journal of Health Economics, Applied Economic Perspectives & Policy, Fiscal Studies, Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics.
