New Technologies for the Classroom's Degree in Biology from the University of Brasilia – The Future of Education

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has influenced, without exception, all forms of education, whether in schools, educational institutes or universities. While the expansion of the Distance Learning (DL), Brazil now considered a State policy for national democratization of education, it is observed that the ICT has also promoted changes in teaching practices of classroom education. The University of Brasilia (UNB) has two modes of education for various degree courses: classroom and distance. The Institute of Biological Sciences, UNB offers classroom and distance learning for the degree course and classroom teaching for the baccalaureate. When it comes to classroom courses, these are far and without a full contemporary identity that meets the demands of the "new student profile," inserted in the information society. This project arose from the concern of some teachers working in two modes with this subject and this reality and aims to use the technological tools developed primarily for the distance mode in classroom teaching. .The Project proposes a strategy to increase the participation of the student in the classroom classroom, individually and anonymously. The project is being implemented / initial and preliminary results show a wide range of teaching acceptance
