Innovation Laboratories as an Environment Supporting Creativity

Abstract
Innovativeness and creativity are the most desired characteristics by employers nowadays. Their formation and development in educational institutions are conditioned, among others, by innovativeness and readiness of staff to undertake experimental activities, sometimes braking the canons of classical teaching.
The articale presents the international acitivities of the Work Pedagogy of Innovative Economy Centre of ITeE-PIB (Poland), connected with the implementation of the idea of team work in so called inoovation laboratories (i-Labs). An i-Lab in an inspirational innovative facility designed to 'transport' users out of the their everyday environment into extraordinary space encouraging creative thinking and problem solving. i-Labs concept contains three interlinking components: Environment, Technology and Facilitation techniques. Laboratories are perfect for any team- based work including strategic planning, conflict management, organisational change, mind mapping, consesus building, consultation, training and many others.
In the international Partnership (Poland, United KIngdom, Romania, Germany, Turkey, Slovenia) there are carried out an experiment on the possibilities of the use of i-Labs in teaching and learning processes and the impact of i-Labs' use on the development of innovativeness of these processes.
