Dr Sarah Richardson is a Principal Research Fellow in the Tertiary Education Research Programme at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Dr Richardson directs a large number of educational research projects in the areas of international education, mobility, employability, learning outcomes assessment and graduate outcomes. Clients include the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Asia Pacific Economic Development Secretariat, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Department of Education and the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
Prior to joining ACER Dr Richardson was a research fellow at the University of Melbourne. She managed a research project and taught a range of subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Between 2005 and 2009 she was the Senior Tutor at International House, managing a residential academic and pastoral programme for 270 international and domestic students.
Holding both Australian and British citizenship, Dr Richardson has a PhD in Higher Education and Politics from the University of Melbourne in Australia, a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Liverpool in the UK.
