Dr. Silke Martin is an assistant professor at the Media Faculty at Bauhaus-University Weimar. She studied Media-Culture at the Bauhaus University and received her Doctoral Degree in 2009. Current research interests are on education and film, gender, age and film, film and aesthetics as well as sound studies. Silke is a co-editor of the online journal Kieler Beiträge zur Filmmusikforschung. (Kieler Contributions to Filmmusic research)
She is also interested in promoting new approaches to media education as well as new approaches to university teaching. She is involved in designing courses for blended learning in media education and film education at Bauhaus University Weimar.
