Feridun Ozcakir is the lecturer of Computer Science in the Department of Information Systems and Technology, also in Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) since February 2010. He graduated in Electronics and Computer Science from the Marmara University in 1994. He completed his master's degree on Computer and Control at the Marmara University. His doctorate is from Informatics at the Istanbul University.
Prior to 2010, he worked as an information systems manager in the important corporate companies of business area for 16 years. At that time he was responsible for technologies; Microsoft SQL Database Management, Operating Systems Management (Active Directory and other System Management Tools), Network and Security Management (Cisco), IBM Lotus Domino Server Management, and SAP.
His areas of expertise; Data Mining, Database Management (Microsoft SQL and Oracle PLSQL), Programming (object-oriented, visual, web-based), Operating Systems Management. Also he is an Oracle Certified Teacher, he gives the certified courses (Oracle PL/SQL).
He wrote a book chapter in 2012. The name of the chapter he wrote " Discovery of New Knowledge: Data Mining" in the book of "Knowledge and Knowledge Management (Bilgi ve Bilginin Yönetimi)".
He gives following courses; Data Mining, Database Management and Applications (MSSQL), Advanced Database (Programming with MSSQL), Procedural Database Language (Oracle PLSQL), Web Programming and Applications (ASP.NET), Object Oriented Programming (C#), Visual Programming (C#), Operating Systems Management (Active Directory and other Microsoft System Management Softwares), Macros (Visual Basic Applications - VBA), Research Methods.
