The Future of Education

Thea Tselepis started out her academic career 15 years ago. Her academic journey involved teaching and research on the professional and business practice of designers. Her PhD was on theoretical models that involve entrepreneurial fashion design in small businesses revolved around collective creativity and entrepreneurial orientation. Her expertise in the field of pre-incubation, collaboration and empowerment of small business owners in the creative industry enabled her to fulfil a demand for entrepreneurially orientated design approaches in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture (FADA) at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) since 2014. Her role as a senior lecturer includes undergraduate teaching in the creative fashion field as well as a post-doctoral research focus on entrepreneurial orientation which directs several master students’ projects as well as doctorate studies.
