The Future of Education

Linda Oshita is an associate specialist in the Department of Special Education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is currently the chair of the Post-Baccalaureate in Special Education Program, a distance education teacher preparation program. Linda advises students and supervises student teachers.

Previously, Linda was an elementary special education for the Hawaii Department of Education. She taught reading, writing, and math to students with learning disabilities. Linda was also an assistant English teacher in Japan for the Japanese Ministry of Education’s Japanese Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.

Linda has written papers and given presentations on special education teacher preparation issues and distance program advising in the United States, Indonesia, Australia, and Japan.
