William Kempton is a PhD fellow at the Institute of Design at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, with an interest in how emerging fabrication technologies influence the realm of product design. His PhD research project titled ‘Living Prototypes’ explores how 3D printing technology is being propelled forward by the relevant social groups that uses it.
William is an industrial designer with a keen interest in DIY and open design practice. He sees the increased public interest in tangible creation as an important friction point for more sustainable values between people and their surrounds. He is a graduate from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, having also spent time at Politecnico di Milano.
