Milena Kresoja

Milena Kresoja was born on 9th May 1988 in Kikinda (Vojvodina, Serbia). She obtained BSc in Financial Mathematics (2006) and MSc in Applied Mathematics (2011) at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics (DMI), Faculty of Sciences at University of Novi Sad. Now, she is PhD student of Mathematics at the DMI. Since 2012, Milena holds a position of Research Assistant at DMI and at University Centre of Applied Statistics. She teaches courses in Numerical analysis, Econometrics, Mathematical models in Economy for master students of Applied Mathematics and courses in Linear algebra, Statistics, Linear models and Longitudinal analysis for master students of Applied Statistics. She conducted Lifelong learning courses in Applied Statistics and she was teaching assistant at ECPR Winter School at University of Vienna, Austria.

She has been involved in a number of research projects: Numerical methods-simulation and application, Approximation of integral and differential operators and applications, (both supported by Serbian Ministry of Education and Science), TEMPUS project Financing of Higher Education in Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro, ERASMUS +: Introduction of part-time and short cycle studies in Serbia etc. She conducted EUROSTUDENT research in Serbia.

Her research interests revolve around numerical optimization, statistical/mathematical modelling and higher education.
