The Future of Education

Michael Kleine is a Professor of Rhetoric and Writing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has published extensively about rhetorical theory, history, and also about dialogical pedagogy. He shares Carol’s interest in the problematics of Freirean pedagogy.Professor Michael Kleine has not only published on education issues with Professor Thompson, but he has also presented workshops and papers at various international conferences in Ireland, England, and Scotland. Michael is an active scholar and has published over 32 articles about rhetorical topics in major journals in his field. Recently, he published a book resurrecting the medieval scholar Brunetto Latini, for International audiences. Michael has also won several awards for teaching and scholarship in his discipline and at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he has taught for over 30 years. Michael and Carol were responsible for elevating the discussion of teaching at the campus at UALR with the Academy for Teaching and Learning Excellence, or ATLE, mentioned above.
