The Future of Education

Bachelor of Science in fondamental mathematics. I am currently completing a master in applied mathematics and computer science and my interests are about differential geometry and the theory of surfaces. In particuliar, I am exploring the link between orthogonal polynomials described by Sturm-Liouville second order differential equations (the special functions of mathematical physics) and their representation on surfaces having a minimal area. To find an explicit representation of these minimal surfaces, I am using a method called «solitonic surfaces method». My thesis is called «Orthogonal polynomials described on minimal surfaces obtained by the solitonic surfaces method».
