Petr Novotný is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Science, Department of Teaching and Didactics of Biology.
After completing his university studies, Petr worked as an elementary school teacher for eight years, then moved to the academic community where he has been working in the preparation of future biology teachers for nearly ten years.
Petr is involved in projects aimed at improving the outcomes of school education, in particular the development of digital literacy of pupils and their teachers. In addition to teaching, she devotes herself to applied research in collaboration with the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, where he helps to process the distribution data of vascular plants.
