Dr. Sanwar Ali is a tenured full professor of computer science at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in physics and an M.S. in computer science from the USA. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in electrical engineering for two years. During his early career, Dr. Ali taught physics and engineering. For the last 26 years, he has been teaching a wide range of undergraduate computer science courses, such as modern programming languages, computer organization, data structure & algorithms, computer networks, numerical methods, and cryptography. Dr. Ali’s research interests include the application of cryptography in e-commerce, mobile commerce, quantum cryptography, and computer education.
