Silvia Giuliani is a Researcher at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the Italian National Research Council.
She holds a MSc and a PhD in Environmental Sciences.
Her research field pertains to the definition of natural and anthropogenic pollutants’ inputs and chronologies in sediments of heavily impacted aquatic environments. She has participated in many national and international projects on these issues in the past and is still active today with her participation to bilateral and national projects on these subjects. She has also been actively involved in educational and dissemination projects both at national levels (e.g. the Research Language) and as European-wide initiatives (e.g. the Researchers’ Nights and the project RM@Schools). Since 2020, she is the national reference person for the EIT project ENGIE “Encouraging Girls to study Geosciences and Engineering”.
She is the author of several scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals.
