Dr. Beata Godejord holds the position of the Associate Professor at Nord University Business School, Norway. Her educational background combines Teacher Education, Pedagogy of Culture, Media Pedagogy, English Philology and Strategic Issues in Management in an Integrated European Context.
She teaches courses in Media theory and communication, Educational use of social media, Digital game-based learning, Digital formation, and Digital media and instructional design.
Her research interests are in questions of socio-cultural aspects of digital transformation and their pedagogical consequences as well as the use of active learning methods for achieving higher-order thinking skills. Her research work focuses on knowledge practices and knowledge process in collaborative work environments, with particular focus on mechanisms supportive to connective knowledge and knowledge sharing.
She was involved in project work on digital learning financed by the Norwegian Ministery of Education and Research as well as international research and educational cooperation financed by the Europen Commision. She currently works with the project on student-active and peer learning financed by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills.
