Dr. Staudt serves as District World Language g K-12 for Chesterfield County Public Schools, Virginia. Chesterfield County Public school is one of the largest districts in Virginia with 65 schools and approximately 65.000 students. She is leading all district K-12 World Language programs such as Elementary Dual Immersion, Foreign Language as a Resource Class (FLES), and Secondary Immersion IB, Dual Enrollment, and Advanced College Placement ( AP) world language programs in Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, American Sign Language, Latin, French, Spanish, and German.
She participated in the 2018 Stanford School Retool cohort and is a cohort fellow of the 2018 Harvard Think Tank in Global Education, led by Dr. Fernando Reimers, UNESCO High Council member for the Future of Education and Professor for International Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Dr. Staudt serves as President for VADLEN, the Virginia Dual Language Education Network, and serves on the Global Virginia Executive Board. She also serves as a National Council Member for the United Nations Association - USA. Dr. Staudt was a contributing member on the Virginia Department of Education Dual Immersion Guiding Document Writing Team and served on the Virginia DLI Licensure Steering Committee. She earned her undergraduate in Psychology, cum laude, from the University of Maryland College Park, and continued her graduate work at Boston University, where she earned her Masters in Human Services and Human Resource Education. She completed her doctorate in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership at the College of William and Mary, Virginia. She holds a certificate in Dual Immersion Leadership from the Center of Applied Linguistics and participated in the Delaware State Dual Immersion Principal Leadership Program.
Dr. Staudt has worked for various government agencies, including the NATO Support Services in Brussels, and the Army Community Service at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), in Mons, Belgium. She also worked for international corporations such as Clariant, and FreeMarkets. Inc., a progressive B2B American based corporation, and served as Executive Director for the Institute for Natural Health and Regenerationtherapy, Belgium.
Dr. Staudt, a German citizen, is a creative, and multilingual educator, who believes the question is not whether all students can learn, but instead what conditions can be devised, so that everyone has the opportunity for meaningful 21st century learning. As an educational leader, she seeks to work with internationally minded schools and organisations. She is passionate about building 21st century learning communities, where students are co-creators of knowledge using convergent technologies, connecting and learning with students from other countries. Learning takes place in an environment that values and sustains positive global relationships, honoring educational innovation and reform, including all stakeholders.
