Rasmus Kjær Kristiansen is the Head of Business and Development at VUC Storstrøm, an adult education centre located in the south-eastern part of Denmark. VUC Storstrøm has a special focus on lifelong learning, social inclusion, and internationalisation.
Rasmus holds an M.A. in Danish with a minor in History from The University of Copenhagen. He also has a P.G. Dip. Ed. from The University of Southern Denmark. From 2016 to 2021 he was appointed by the Danish Ministry of Education to the commission for written Danish Language exams. He is on the board of Fluid – the Danish Association of Flexible Learning – and works as an ambassador for EPALE.
Rasmus has extensive experience with digitalization of learning, social inclusion and video mediated learning provision in rural areas. He has published several articles and has lectured on the topic both nationally and internationally.
As Head of Business and Development Rasmus is currently responsible for a portfolio of 15 national and international projects ranging from regional initiatives to Erasmus+ and the European Social Fund as well as projects with the Danish foreign ministry. The work also covers the paradigm shift from traditional business upskilling at schools towards digital onsite solutions for the workplace.
