The Future of Education

Starting with 1972, professor at University of Bucharest. Research activity (1990-2013) was focused on modernizing the education through new technologies (more than 90 papers). Founder of the CTI (Computer in Teaching Initiative) Pilot Centre, 1993; Distance Learning Department (CREDIS), 1999; Department for Technologies, 2005. He designed and implemented: Information Technology (BA study program); new courses like “Virtual Instrumentation” (1994) and “eLearning” (2003). Major contributions to institution building: PC Labs, UniBuc Network including VoIP, virtual campus and LMS/LCMS for distance learning students. Important contribution to the collaboration with valuable partners in Romania and EU countries (more than 30 projects).
