Abstract

This paper is focused on the analysis of digital competences of teachers, based on the European model DIGCOMP (UNESCO, 2008; Ferrari, 2013) and our previous research with teachers of different levels (Prendes y Gutiérrez, 2013; Prendes, Castañeda y Gutiérrez, 2010; Durán, Gutiérrez y Prendes, 2016). In this study, we have tried to identify the digital competences of teachers of one Primary school located in Callosa de Segura (Alicante, Spain) during the 2018-2019 academic year, as well as their self-perception in the management of ICT. To carry out the investigation we have used a non-experimental and descriptive methodology, selecting an intentional non-probabilistic sample of teachers in the educational centre. To obtain the data we used a questionnaire with dichotomy (yes or no) and Likert type items, which was provided online. After analysing the results, we concluded that the 27 teachers had a medium level of digital skills. Almost everyone knew how to use ICT in the classroom had participated in projects or attended courses; nevertheless, they think that they need to continue forming. Therefore, due to the data obtained we have recommended increasing their ICT training and improving the quality of your digital tools of the school.
