I have have been teaching English for about 30 years now. My major interest is literature in English and Russian. I teach Close Reading, Translation Studies, Creative Writing. My favourite authors are Eudora Welty, William Faulkner, Flannery O'Connor and Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. I also teach Russian literature to foreign students, primarily concentrating on realia of the 19th century (mostly Russian Orthodox) in the novels and stories by Russian classics. I am an author of one book " A.P. Chekhov and Kuban" (in Russian), several manuals for students and a number of articles both in English and in Russian. Among other published papers are "Eudora Welty and Anton Chekhov: A Long Intimacy Between Strangers" (In English, 2014), "The Premier of A. P. Chekhov’s Tatyana Repina at Judson Poets’ Theater" (In English, 2017); Anton Chekhov’s Sakhalin Island: An Ongoing Commentary (In English, 2021).
